It's the new year, and here's a few house-cleaning notes:

First off we've been featured on the 5th and final version of the TC Electropunk compilation series, aptly titled TCEP5.  The track we included was the previously unreleased "Tickle Me Panzer".  We've played this song live a few times, but the version on the comp is an updated version and kicks some serious ass (if you don't mind us tooting our own collective horn). Check it out.

In other release news, we were going to release Re-MMIX in December, but we started adding more and more mixes, and decided it was best to add these new mixes that we had began, so Re-MMIX (which might be renamed Re-MMX) will likely be released sometime in January.

On the gig front, we've got our 6th annual birthday bash scheduled for Friday February 5th at Ground Zero in Minneapolis.  We're still lining up acts to play with, but we will announce those as soon as we get some confirmations.

Lastly, the comment bug seems to have fixed itself, and comments are now working.  Damn I love it when computer shit works out like that!

Yes, it was about time for a new site design.  We still have some work ahead to fully complete the site, but hopefully we can wrap that up in the next week or two.  As a side effect of the re-design, our comments have become broken.  It appears to be a database issue with the newest version of WordPress and something that happened in the upgrade.  Hopefully that can be fixed as well, but in the meantime, if you need to contact us, please use our contact form !

We'll be the first to admit it, things have been a little slow on the GNP front, as "real life" stuff has sort of side tracked us for the past month or two.  However, when we have found time to work on stuff, we are making progress, so I'll share a little of that with you.

First off, we've completed the track "Tickle Me Panzer" and have submitted it to the TC Electropunk V compilation that is set to be released sometime this summer.  TCEPV will feature various electronic music produced from the Twin Cities Electronic scene.  Our track "Joe Lunchbucket, Trendfuck" was featured on TCEPIII.

Secondly, we are coming close to wrapping up our second LP of 2009, a collection of covers of video game music, ranging from NES to early PC games to PSone.  We'll probably be releasing this album for free via Bit Torrent.  The current title of the VG covers album is "007 373 5963", and hopefully will be out by the end of the summer.

Lastly, we're looking at setting up some shows, but nothing is booked yet.  We'll let y'all know once we figure shit out.

Update time on the GNP front!

First off, the CDs are getting printed as I type this.  The Discs themselves are done, we're just waiting on the packaging (special packaging, so it's taken a little longer than we would have hoped for).  I anticipate that we will have finished discs within a week or two, so if you haven't already pre-ordered, do so!

In addition to the CDs, we've got a bunch of new merch that we will be adding to the site soon.  We already told you about the black t-shirts that we got back in February, but now we've got super dope GNP beanies!  It's the GNP Logo Skull, stitched in three colors.  They are fucking badass, and only $15.  Well worth it for the cool spring evenings (and if you're in the Midwest, you know that winter hockey season is only a couple months away!). 

Lastly, just as a heads up, within the next few weeks, we'll be rolling out a GNP remix contest!  I won't spill all of the details, but there will be prizes and it will be one of our favorite songs off of III.  Stay tuned for more info!
